Halloween Guide for Families in Scranton, PA

There's a crisp in the air that signifies all things FALL. With that comes Halloween fun! Macaroni KID Scranton is here to help connect your family with daytime spooks and freaky frights during the weeks leading up to Halloween.

October 1 - 31: The Pumpkin Walk at Creekside Gardens | Tunkhannock ($5) ~ This daytime event is sure to please all nature lovers. Wander and enjoy colorful and unusual pumpkin and gourd varieties creatively arranged into mosaics of color! An I SPY hunt to find certain pumpkins is fun for the young and young at heart. At the end of your visit, you may turn your card in for a festive sticker and a chance to win a $50 gift card

6:00pm: Banned Book Club: Goosebumps @Lackawanna County Children’s Library. Readers beware! You're in for a scare! Come enjoy a spooky evening with Ms. Meghan discussing one of our favorite spine-tingling series, Goosebumps!

6:00pm: Danger Club: Slime Edition @ Lackawanna County Children’s Library Come join Ms. Meghan to make three kinds of slime and discover how they compare to one another. For kids in grades 4 through 6.

6pm: Halloween Dance Party @ Lackawanna County Children’s Library Join us for a special night filled with tricks and treats! It is sure to be a spook-tacular time! All ages are welcome. 

1pm - 3pm: Elm Park United Methodist Church First 200 Kids receive a treat bag. There will be food, games, entertainment, and more! This event is open to the public at no cost.

5pm to 8pm: Halloween BOO BASH @ Green Ridge Club. Children 3 and younger are free and do not require a ticket. This year will be Wonka-themed! Enjoy S’mores by the Fire Pit. Hot Buffet featuring Chicken Tenders, French Fries, Mac and Cheese, and more. Indulge in treats at the Wonka Treat Station. Every child will receive a special party favor!
