DICK’S House of Sport is hosting the first annual Summer Kick off 5K and Walk at Nay Aug Park in Scranton!
Runners and walkers of all ages are welcome to this new community event. This is not just a race but a community vendor fair where all participants and families can see their favorite local businesses at the park!
There will be a “cool down” area provided for all runners and walkers and hydration stations throughout the racecourse. Kiddos will have their own “activity” area for them to have fun and enjoy. Mascots from your favorite local sports team will be in appearance, and so much more!
The race begins at 9:00 AM on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at Nay Aug Park in Scranton. The vendor fair will conclude at 1:00 PM.
DICK’S House of Sport will host a Race Expo Party on May 31, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at DICK’S House of Sport where vendors and sponsors will be featured. All runners and walkers will be able to pick up their race packet which includes their t-shirt, bib, medal, race info and a few other surprises!
Race proceeds benefit the DICK’S Sporting Goods Sports Matter foundation, a non-profit corporation with a mission to inspire and enable sports participation.
Packet Pick-Up: There will be a packet pick-up for all pre-registered runners from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, May 31, 2024 at DICK’S House of Sport. (400 Viewmont Mall, Scranton, PA, 18508)

Cost: $30.00 for pre-registered runners and $35.00 for day of registrants.
Race Start: 9:00 AM.
Day of Registration/Packet Pick-Up: 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM
Awards: Begins at 10:30 AM
Overall 1st, 2nd and 3rd will receive awards. The top males and females in the below age groups will win awards.
